I spent 15 years working in markets doing data modelling. If you're looking for the honest version: don't do it. The bar for surviving retail trading is insanely high and most people lose.
I live modestly in London, drive a crappy car, and trade only my own capital. No outside investors, no prop firm, no fund. I'm 54 and I continue because I've done it for 15 years and I value the freedom over a normal job.
I also have a dachshund. We walk a lot. That keeps me sane when models are flat.
RISK WARNING: Trading foreign exchange on margin carries a high level of risk.
NO INVESTMENT ADVICE: I do not manage outside capital, solicit funds, or give financial advice. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
